NHRL 2003 Update

Hey guys, here is another report on the NASCAR Heat Racing League for the 2003 season:

I have many applicants for the league so far. I have enough to create two series of NASCAR Heat. More applicants are coming in as well.

There will be two divisions, NBS and CUP. I will create rosters for the two series. CUP is not supposed to be superior to NBS, but the settings will be a little bit harder than the NBS races. Also, I would like to continue the NR2002 series to NR2003, the final series of the NASCAR games by Papyrus.

I will decide (with help from the top 5 in 2002 points) the rosters for CUP based on these factors:

- top 5 are a lock for the CUP Series (regardless of 56k)
- non-56k connection
- driver cleanliness
- 2002 points positions
- 2002 race wins
- 2002 race attendance
- average finishing position (check stats page)

I hope I do not anger someone by placing them in a certain series. But I hope everyone understands that we cannot just pile everyone into one series, there would simply be too many drivers for my computer to handle hosting-wise.

If you win a race in, say, the NBS Series on a given weekend, you will be able to race in the next CUP race. Same thing if you win a CUP race, you will be permitted to race in the next NBS Series race. I would like to prevent having too many drivers doing both NBS and CUP at once (full time in both series for 2003). Once again, I will have to determine this on who has been the most dedicated in 2002 as far as coming to every race.

I also need to start knowing who will be and will not be returning for next season in the NHRL. Thanks for your help guys...next year is looking great.

I will try to be fair in placing people for the series. If I put you in a series where you are not available that night, I will probably move you to another series so that you will be able to remain with the NHRL.

I'll be here next year and i'll be here saturday for the race. BTW what time does the N2002 race start?
