yep..... i knew it was only a matter of time before the "Ching-Chongs" pushed their way into our great American sport. Soon all the cars will be sporting large exhaust cans sticking out of the rear end, all kinds of aftermarket options, 16 valve v-6 engines, and they will burn rice for fuel (instead of Sunoco race fuel).

First, don't get me wrong... I don't support the foreign market, but the tundra and camry, amongst others are manufactured by 'Toyota America inc'. All the jobs are american jobs. My last ford was mostly manufactured in canada. So, see what I am getting at?

I bet you can't even buy a Tundra in Japan.

Not sure. A little off topic, but when I was in Germany, The European Ford, GM, and Chrysler counterparts were nicer looking and hauled a lot more ass than the american versions. I had an american Ford escort (this was around 1992) and the German version looked a lot more stylish, and blew mine away on the autobahn. In the Frankfurt airport, there was a mitsubishi diamonte on display, and I looked at the speedo, and it toped out at 240 Km/h. That's 144MPH!!!!!!! I know that's a jap job but it was the same with the american big 3 cars too. A ford capri, (european mustang) was the same way.

Going back to the Camry... Doesn't that hood look disproportionate to the rest of the car? the passenger compartment looks a lot further back than the other cars. or, is it just me?

Thats a nice looking car. Its nice to see an American built car model in NASCAR. I hope Honda comes in next and I think that the " car of tomorrow" already has a rear wing.

well...to be honest with you... if Honda comes into the Nascar picture...i'm going on a huge killing spree...

and as far as the 'car of tomorow'... i'm with alot of the teams on the fact that theyv'e worked so hard to get what they've got built up now with the 'current' car... what they should do is work on what they've got now, beofe they design a whole new car... but then again, maybe this would be good for the smaller guys to at least have an even start before the bigger teams take off again

I think cup and busch should have the same budget constraints as the craftsman truck series. That is a big equlizer, and That's why the racing is closer and better in the CTS.
