We are going to do something different for qualifying at Daytona this year. It will be done as follows....
The starting order for the Daytona race will be set at the Bud Shootout. The first 2 starting positions at the Daytona race will go to the 2 guys that qualify 1 and 2 for the Shootout. The rest of the field for the Daytona race will be set according to the finishing order at the Shootout. Those that don't make the Bud Shootout will be starting in the back in the order they notify the league that they won't be at the Bud Shootout.
Subs will be allowed in the Bud Shootout. They will start in the back and CAN set a starting position for the regular driver. Also if a driver needs a sub for the race, his sub may start in the position the regular driver set at the Shootout.
We will be doing a pace lap at the start of the Daytona race and will have a single file start. The race will still be 50 laps including the pace lap. So the pole sitter will get credit for leading lap 1.
