Website Feedback Wanted!!

Post by camry »

Hi guys, I am going to be working on a new website for NHRL.

In doing so, I wanted to gather feedback from the primary users of this site, which is you the drivers.

What I am looking for is general aches and pains you may have, that I can possible address on the new site.

Always when a new site is built, you look to improve the flow as well as the design.

If there is something you can never find, but it's a big part of your travels on the NHRL site or just have general "I'd like to see" ideas, please let me know over the next couple days.

Thanks,
Will

Since the NHRL admins have been planning on building a new site for awhile now, certain elements on the current site have, let's say, not been fixed or corrected for long periods of time  . So please don't mention errors that are appearing with some of the graphics and things like that. Those kinds of things will obviously be corrected on a new website.

Maybe a "site search engine" to make it easier for old timers.

I know as the site is now.... it seems like the java applet for the scrolling marquee makes the homepage take a long time to load. I'd ditch the marquee, IMHO.

If you're going to upgrade, upgrade right. Make results easier to post and driver lists easier to manage for admins. If that means hiring a PHP programmer, I'd do it. Blackhole Motorsports has Ivan Spruit, who is a very talented PHP programmer, and they didn't need a new website in a long time thanks to how powerful PHP is. :)
