Basically, for both you and P McSkip, we are approving you from race to race until you get steering wheels. You're both in the league - no need to fill out another application or anything like that - but the administrators might ask you to withdraw from league events when we have worries about your driving at a particular course. If you practice driving around others and are not all over the place at each week's track, then you should be fine. I will also mention that not following the league rules could be possible grounds for sitting out an event.

We would also like both of you to choose a number for the whole season, rather than switching at each event. The following numbers are taken. Anything not on this list is available (no three-digit numbers):

For both of you guys, and anyone else looking at the prospect of buying a wheel, Here's a link to a pretty good price for a momo. I believe that their price even with shipping beats going to the best buy store. If you can even finnd them there still..

IMO, (and this is only my opinion) I don't feel the G25 is worth the $$$. I could be wrong though. I know that a bunch of our league's top drivers are using momo's with great sucess, and you're talking well under $100.

I would try checking out ebay if you cant afford to spend 60 or 70 bucks, that's where i got my wheel and pedals (mine is a Thrustmaster NASCAR Pro Digital Racing Wheel) got mine for only $25.00 plus $5 bucks for shipping.

Just from my past experience with lifetime of racing wheels, I'd have to go only with "new in box" if I got from an e-bay type site.

I've had my momo since feb of 04, and still going. I am going to probably get a new wheel soon. I need to have a backup or something.

About the pedals.... I have to clean the gas pedal potentiometer once in a while. That's the same with all the different thrustmaster wheels I've owned before this momo. I think most people run into this problem with the gas getting spikes, and think they have to ditch the wheel. When that happens, you get some contact cleaner from the nearest radio shack, and just spray it into the pot for the gas, and work it a bit. It's the same thing as a volume control on a boom box or something.
