Allstar Race?

DaveO and I were chatting and talking about races we were looking forward to this season and we both were talking about Lowes. The we got to wondering whatever happened to the Allstar race?

I think we should follow real nascar's special events.

Our speedweeks for next week should be:

Monday - 20 lap Bud shootout for last years pole winners For Cup
Tuesday - 20 lap Bud shootout for last years pole winners for Busch
Wednesday - 55 Lap duel at daytona for Cup (open to everyone)
Thursday - off v-day
Friday - 55 Lap duel at daytona for Busch (open to everyone)

Maybe even give the winners of each event 5 or 10 bonus points toward the season standings

And there should most definatley be an allstar race as well later in the season

I think following the real schedule would be amazing but I dont know how many people would actually show to these races during week due to working and spending time the family. Last night was my first 500 and that was the biggest field I've seen at a race.

I think that's the biggest field many of us have seen in a race. Biggest I remember is at our daytona opener a couple years ago, and I think it was 22. We were scared about the server handling that field. I was impressed with the field last night. the start went quite better than I'd expected.

We always start out the season with these big fields, only to see it drop to the core 15 by season's end. Let's see who sticks around.
