Seeing since there were a handfull of pitting violations at daytona in both the Cup and NBS races, I will explain the correct way to pit at Brands Hatch.
1. Downshift to a safe speed (I use 2nd gear) for the final turn and enter pit road via the access road.
2. Be sure to be down to pit road speed (35 MPH!!) before you reach the brick building on the right. Be careful here, the pit line isn't clearly marked.
3. Stay to the far left while traveling down pit road.
4. When entering and exiting your stall, you may drive thru no more than 2 stalls unless there are cars in those stalls.
**VERY IMPORTANT** DO NOT DRIVE THRU GHOSTING CARS IN THE PITS, THEY MAY APPEAR SUDDENLY AND DAMAGE CAN RESULT.
5. Check your mirrors as your service nears completion for traffic traveling down pit road, pull out of your stall and stay to the far left.
6. Again, check your mirror for on track traffic as you merge.
7. Stay to the inside of the corner thru turn 1 and merge safely back into the racing line.
Failure to follow these guidelines will result in penalties, and none of us wants those.
