Congrats Grove. Gr Adam. 2 top 10's and another solid performance for LOD. I might have pulled off a top 10 myself had i not come down with disco fever .0000000000001 secs before the race started.

A storm coming down from Virgina caused severe weather @ the rock last night. There were rain drops on the windshield around lap 62 but the vortex theory was delaying the inevitable. Once the last round of pit stops were made the sky opened up and began to pour. After many hours of track drying by the NHRL crew, the race was called around 2 am in the morning.

Congrats Grove!

if the server would have lasted until pit stops cycled around prob would have had a couple of top 5's, but top 10's are good enough for me. Good win grove.

AJ you were robbed. For those who weren't there the serve crashed during last pit cycle. Adam was kicking my butt (i was in second) and it looked like that was gonna be the race result too. I lost too much time during the first run and was really careful not to "move" Grove out of the way when he was controlled crashing. But I finally got around him.

1st, and 2nd thru 5th were gonna have to pit again. And end up a lap down. That's a first for me since i've been running here and it's "just one of those things." Good (lucky) win Grovehardt.

I would rather earn the win, but this situation has not been foreign to me, with me on the screwed end so to speak. However, I appreciate the congrats. As Adam and others from practice knew, I had a car to do it (with adam being a question mark), and I think it was evident most of the first set. I tried to lay back to conserve, and was quickly chased down by a couple guys. By that time I had trouble getting my rythm back. The competition was tough throughout the majority of the field. A couple of what I thought were relatively minor setbacks (trip through the grass and spin out with crash going into the pits) quickly shuffled me towards the back of the field. Let me tell you, it was hard moving back up. That's how well everyone was running, when I was turning .1's and .2's, and not gaining on many of you. Some racing with Lepage only seemed to make him stronger  In my last pit, my guys made some good adjustments, and I was getting my rythm back. My plan was to come in on lap 90, then try to just tear the track up with some .0's. I honestly think I could have earned a top 5, or close if not, and would take that. Would have been some exciting racing, but yes (d3), lady luck showed her pretty face for me before my plan could come to fruition. I say congrats to all, especially in top 10, and most especially those in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th when it crashed. There was no question going a full race that those 3 would have put me a lap down. After some of our excellent practices throughout the week (adam included), I would have been happy to see you win Adam, if not me. So thanks all for the fun race while it lasted, and now let the nhrl gods make the call. And, on to Richmond!

Well, all the TTR teams had good cars, I was just tooling along, until I started getting racy, and I goofed and spun the car, hitting the wall with disastrous results... Limping the car to the first pit stop killed me, but still wasn't as bad a result as an extra pit stop.

I think I was going to run a couple peeps down, but would have really struggled to try and get a top ten. I do know that if we had weather radar on or pit box TV's like the Sprint Cup drivers do, all of us TTR drivers could have stayed out until the rain.

To really answer your question guys, the wind caused a power outtage for the server.

That storm was brutal.

A little historical insight:

After five seasons, Grove's luck with server crashes has finally cycled around. When this last happened in the CUP Series (2003 Dover Downs #2), Grove was the legitimate leader before the second set of pit stops. When the server crashed on lap 50 - interestingly, the exact midpoint of the event - fatfreddy was the beneficiary by remaining on the course in order to lead a lap. As it would turn out, he won the event on that single lap led.
