Allstar Race

this topic has been mentioned before but no real conformation on anything yet.

I notice that Lowes is coming up next month on the schedule..Any word if you are planning to host an allstar race for fun?

If you do then we should do it like real nascar does. Have only the winner's participate (but seeing how theres been only been a couple different winners) have a allstar shootout race for non-winner's only. like a 20 lap race with the top 5 finishers advance or something..

(Example of allstar format)

1st segment 20 laps with qualifying. eliminate the 2 lowest finishers of race
2nd segment 20 laps with qualifying, 1 mandatory 4 tire pit stop, eliminate the 2 or 3 lowest finishers of race
3rd segment 10 lap shootout with no qualifying, start wherever it puts you

I think this would be a fun event, if we can start getting it planned now for next month.

Anyone else have any suggestions or is this pretty much a dead idea that will never happen?

Last All start race we had was 2006. It was a very fun event. Guys from every series could run it, and a CTS (exclusively) driver named GR8-1 won the event. It was a blast.

The all star events didn't really have that much attendence if I remember correctly.

There hasn't been an allstar race for 3 seasons. Bud shootout yes but not allstar. All the saturdays in may are scheduled for cup events except memorial weekend, which might create an attendance problem. Count on an NHRL unsanctioned Allstar race on Sunday may 18th at kansas speedway. Still working on the format with Skoty. More info to follow so start practicing at Kansas boys. And there will be no prizes or points awarded for winners of this event. Bragging rights only.

Which Kansas because theres MP Kansas, Kansas Speedway, Kansas NX and Kansas SP. You said Speedway in there so maybe you meant Speedway but still wanna make sure. Also I thought DaveO told me awhile back ago that he won the last All Star Race?

I posted in another thread, that the banked Homestead track that the modsquad is making is just about ready. They have people (myself included) beta testing it, and it's raceable as it stands right now. Most things they're doing right now are related to eye candy and the like.

I think it deserves a look. Reef and I did an online test on it and had a blast.

If not, then we can just go with Kansas Speedway.
