NHMA Dirtrax Dirt Series: Corn Sheller Showdown

After months of waiting, it's finally time to begin NHMA's first points paying series! The 2016 Dirtrax Dirt series will begin with the Corn Sheller Showdown at DTREldon (http://ffsracing.com/downloads/allnasca ... /dirtoval/), a 0.563 mile dirt track located in America's heartland. We'll be using the USMTSModifieds mod (http://ffsracing.com/downloads/allnasca ... Modifieds/) for this series, a competitive dirt modified mod. The season will begin on September 2nd, 2016 at 9:30 P.M. EDT, starting with a short heat race (11 laps) to determine the starting order, followed by the feature event (70 laps).

In order to compete in this series, you need to register on our website and sign up for the Dirtrax Dirt Series on the sign-ups page. If you aren't signed up prior to the event, you won't be allowed to compete.

We've had some issues with unknown users coming into our TeamSpeak3 server and creating channels with obscene names, so we've had to add a password for the time being.

For our second points race we'll be heading to Coastal_Carolina_D, a 0.400 mile track located in Jacksonville, North Carolina. This track has unique dirt effects and is a dirt version of a paved track, so this one will be interesting! The event will begin on September 9th, 2016 at 9:30 P.M. EDT, starting with a short heat race (14 laps) to determine the starting order, followed by the feature event (90 laps).

Thanks to everyone who came out to the first points event last Friday! It was a great success.

NOTE: We've had to shorten the length of this tracks name from it's original, 'Coastal_Carolina_Dirt' due to game engine limitations. The posted download link is to the renamed version, but the original can be found here (listed as 'Jacksonville'). If you already have the original, you can simply rename it to 'Coastal_Carolina_D' if you prefer.

We'll be heading a little further south for the third race of the season to 7 Flags Speedway, a defunct 0.375 mile track formerly located in Douglasville, Georgia. The racing line here is wide, and there's plenty of passing room so this should be a good one! The event will begin on September 16th, 2016 at 9:30 P.M. EDT, starting with a short heat race (13 laps) to determine the starting order, followed by the feature event (85 laps).

The series is still ongoing, even though attendance has declined. But we've still been having competitive events!

There are only three races left in the 2016 Dirtrax Dirt Series season, so if you want to take these cars for a spin you'd better get in soon. Tonight at 9:30 P.M. ET will be the 8th race of the season and it will be at Sunset_Speedway. Come have some fun in the mud!
