Post by EagleKeeper »

....... ummmm.... how can i be certain i have the right brickyard installed? i think this question came up b-4..... but Fred said he had to check with SS to be for sure. now i can't find that post on here. seems like the link should be posted on the site if we want to get a good turn-out for the event

i agree...

and i ask....

is there 2 tracks named brickyard? or is there 2 tracks like the one in indianapolis, one named brickyard and the other named indy?

i have one named brickyard and one named indy that seem identicle to me, but i am confused when i hear some peeps say that there are two "brickyards"

EagleKeeper

not to mention....

Post by EagleKeeper »

i have just one installed.... and it's called brickyard. although..... i've heard peeps talking about "brickyard" as a "non-restrictor-plate" track. My brickyard..... is a restrictor plate track similar to Daytona and Talladega. M=No matter how short i make my gears..... i can't get my car to "red-line" at the end of the straights

oops

Post by EagleKeeper »

never mind..... mind does "red-line"
don't know what i was thinking

Re: oops

yea, i have heard it described that way too. like there are two tracks with the same name "brickyard" and one being a restrictor plate track and one not. hopefully its just a lack of communication and there is only one track with the name "brickyard" and thats the one i got.

although after practicing a bit with kyle, i did get the feeling that i was somehow restricted ha ha ......or maybe it was just me

goofs

There are 2 restrictor plate brickyards and they perform identically. One is considered light meaning it has less graphics while the other has more. Shouldn't be a problem. I will go find the link and add it in here.

Re: Brickyard gate

Post by efgordon »

ok...i am getting buggy over this whole track thing.

i know my command of the english language is not very good, but i still think we have a lack of communication here.

i will try to simplify this a bit.

There is a race track in indianapolis called the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. its a very old historic track. It has a cool nickname called "the brickyard"

In heat sim racing there are atleast 2, maybe more, copies, or attempts to copy the charecteristics of this track. one is named Indy, another is named Indy-lite, and another is named BRICKYARD.

as far as i know, there is only one that has the exact name BRICKYARD.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is that true or false?

if its true i am never comming into this confusing ass thread again, if its false.....

THEN HOW THE HELL DO I KNOW WHICH IS WHICH OR WHERE IS WHICH?????????????????????????????

Thanks for your help, whoever helps
