NOTE OF RESIGNATION
Re:NOTE OF RESIGNATION
Come on Dozer,...Race till the end of the season, you may feel different after you think about it a while,. .I'v been in your shoes, I'v had my tail between my legs A lot in the past two years,. .getting wuped by the best of them, along with my bad luck and my stupidity in the pits,. .I beat myself getting in and out of the pits so I know how you feel,. .It takes time to learn how to pit and you have to learn how the other drivers race you and vise versa,..these things take time,. ..oh,..and by the way,....Practice,practice,practice

Re: Re:NOTE OF RESIGNATION
I'm really sorry to hear that your leaving Dozer. This is my first year here too. I don't know if you remember, but my first race of this year at Daytona in the Busch Series, I was all over the place, I was my own worse nightmare!! (plus alot of other people's too) I was all over the track. After that race, I got alot of advice, to be more patient and to take things a little slower, etc etc. lepage helped me out tremendously by talking to me about patience and taking it slowly at first, learning to control the car, not speed at first, be a clean driver, etc. Since then I've spent alot of time practicing, practicing, practicing, and it has paid off for me tremendously... I've learned alot since that race and I take things slow at first, and when I see the faster guys on my butt most of the time I will go up into the high line and let them go by me, because I'm not as fast as them, or not on there skill level yet, and it pays off for a top ten finish and I wind up not crashing my car,(most of the time) and not messing up there race. Then I try to draft behind them, to keep me going with them. But sometimes that dosen't work. I try to race with the guys on my skill level. And I'll tell ya some of the best racing is in the middle of the pack, or fighting for that 9th place finish. I've had some awesome races with Bover, like at Watkins Glen we were fighting for I believe 8th and 9th place, and I gotta tell ya it was probably the best racing on the track that night, you get a big adrenaline rush that way.( I think we both walked away from that race feeling like winners, because we had so much fun) It will take me years to win a race, I know that, but man, just the fun of racing is were it's at for me right now!!
Dozer, think hard before you quit man!!! I've been in your shoes and in plenty of hot water before. But racing is alot of fun, just take things easy man, and you will see a big difference.
Hope you decide to stay.

Re: Re:NOTE OF RESIGNATION
i didnt mean to start all this trouble with my post in the "should we have restarts" thread. i was only trying to help. i noticed the "do you have respect for me" (or something like that) thread yesterday, and now its mysteriously missing, so my guess is someone posted something there that you didnt like. i voted yes in that poll, but i had a bad feeling about that one when i saw it.. lots of jokers around here doz , and i think you walked right into that one. i really doubt if you could get a serious dialog on such a subject when you think of all the goobers like myself that visit this website.
i know it probably sounds backwards, but i think alot of us "liked" you (in the least gay definition of that word possible), more than you think, and many drivers have made brief "hot shoe" appearences in this league only to be totally ignored and never given the solid advice that was given to you. the fact that so many were willing to let you know what they thought, and how they truly felt was a good thing.
dont think your the only one who ever went through some growing pains trying to go from sprint racing with people you dont even know, to league racer who needed to earn some respect on the track and not on the message board.

Re: Re:NOTE OF RESIGNATION
that pole was mine efgordon, i asked lepage to remove it for me cause of suggestions from other drivers, supprisingly there was nothing bad in it!!
Re: Re:NOTE OF RESIGNATION
and also, last year i went through the exact same thing that dozer is going through right now, actually it was dozer that got me to come back to racing heat after leaving half way through the season of my first season last year!!... this also happened in the LCHRL, but i did not leave bcause of it only cause i now work late on racenights!!, a race night that i picked!!, stupid work!!
Re: Re: Re:NOTE OF RESIGNATION
It might be called "growing pains" ,lol, but at any rate it takes some time to get to know anyone, even more time to get to know everyone's driving stlye and preferred line around a track.
doz, if you are having problems with 1 or 2 drivers in particular, you should let the administrators know about it.
If your driving was just down right aweful, and you caused wrecks every week, then you might be asked by the NHRL to leave for the remainder of the season. HOWEVER, don't be offended if you are asked to take a P start, lol, I was asked to many times to do so.
I get a kick out of some drivers - lol it's never "my" fault, it's always "your" fault. I have had instances where I did not argue, I went to my replay, and if I did wrong, I emailed an apology ( except to Skoty -- NEVER GONNA HAPPEN ), and if I found different, I simply emailed some screenshots.
But hey, dozer do what you think will make you happy!

Re: Re: Re:NOTE OF RESIGNATION
you don't have to love the drivers you race with.........
race for your love of the sport and thrill of competition.
there's a large age bracket in this league..... and one thing i've learned in the military is.... the younger guys always get a hard time from the old F__kers. It's kind of a brotherly love. but one thing i do know..... when we (in the military) pick on the new guy..... it's because we like him. the ones that are total fools don't get this type of attention.
so.... don't go away
bite your lip
get out your frustrations
set aside a few late nights practicing a setup
learn from mistakes
talk among teammates
find your way through the dark
put a smile on that face
and remember..... if you quit.... santa will stop comming to your house

Re: NOTE OF RESIGNATION
AFTER careful thought and speaking to sponsors ... we have decided that although bbff has been a great help and support ..the 42 team are changing our marketing plans and becomming a single car team...as the 42 sunoco/mello yello team maybe closing the doors for the 2006 season
lol
nothing wrong with a single car team in NHRL. heck..... once you trade setups..... b4 you know it.... you're getting beat with your own work. not to mention.... ya leave a team member out to dry once.... and they are ticked off at ya. so..... that's why i stay "GDI" ... " God D_mn Independent"
