Painting --- HELP, BEFORE I GO NUTZ!!!!!

OK, here goes...

I used to be really good at painting cars. (Back in 1999!!!) Well tonight I decided "I'm painting an f___ing car!" So, I found Photoshop5 on a cdrom. Figured I could use it... NOPE! All the templates are in PSP 8 format. So I downloaded PSP 8 trial....
Then, I painted a simple design using the Dodge Truck template.... Then I saved it as a TGA and went to make the TGA a Tex. NOPE! with both Dos and Windows versions of Mktex, I get "unsupported image type 10"

Uggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!! No freaking wonder all heat racers have their cars painted by a couple of the same guys!!!!!!!!

It's now 4 AM, I still don't have a car painted, have no idea what the F I am doing wrong and...... Sigh...... I give up!

Can someone please tell me what I could possibly be doing wrong?

Hey dude,

I still get frustrated when painting cars too drives me up the wall, and sometimes I just wanna throw my computer out the window !!! It takes alot of paticence for me to do it!

Takes me a long time to paint a car, but the stuff below makes it alot easier. Save all your layers too, then when u change it to a tga file once u get it to PSPIMAGE or Adobe photoshop


Thats what I use when I'm messing with painting with cars.

If not use PSP7 it's a hell of alot easier. Went back to using PSP 7.. I like it better then version 8!!!

Why paint a car when they don't make you faster lol. There perfectly good cars already in the game. It's in the game!
