wheel problems
wheel problems
i have a logitech force feedback wheel, the one with the gran turismo logo in the center. its been acting up a little bit lately and i wondered if anyone else encountered this problem. the problem is when i hit the gas about half way i can watch the bar on the control menu and its going crazy. its flopping around all over the place. i was wondering if there is a quick fix or if its a bad part. the problem seems to get worse over time, and i can take the pedals apart and put them back together and it seems to cure it for a while then it slowly gets worse. any ideas? it wouldnt be a big deal but this is an expensive wheel and i'd hate to have to get another one. thanks guys
Re: wheel problems
You could get a new logitech MOMO racing wheel, (the standard one) about $59, and just use the new pedal unit.
There is a really small potentiometer on the gas and brake pedals. You can try cleaning the inside wiht contact cleaner from you local radio shack. It's in an aerosol can with a straw like WD40 comes in. (DON'T USE WD40 THOUGH!)LOL.
Try that first, and if that doesn't work go Here to buy a new one.

Re: wheel problems
I agree with bover,.Just go buy a new one,..I'v been racing on line now for about 5 years and I'v went through 3 or 4 wheels and peddles and the Logitect MoMo force feedback has been the best one so far,.The first one was the microsoft side winder and the second one was the one you have and the third one was the momo and this is my second momo,..my point is, the wheels and peddles that we bye at computer comp or best buy or any of your local stores dont last forever depending on what kind of a temper you have,..lol. If you want a wheel and peddle set that last a lifetime your going to spend anywhere from 500 to 1500 dollars.
