dudes! i just cannot believe only skoty and me went fuel tonight! after the hoodwinking at darlington by running a sprint setup versus the fuel guys (completely out of left field for me, sheesh!) I was really looking hard at running fuel tonight, and did, of course. not sure who else may have been attempting it but got caught up in "the big one," (and, btw, if you werent' going fuel you were doomed) but it worked out way beyond my expectations. anyways, it will be good to see the the 'ol #3 on the victory page finally. The crew really deserve it. Also, Clint and I have have had our own side competition going on here and Im really gonna rub it in! lol

welcome and TY, and believe me, I would rather have run a sprint setup because thats the most fun at charlotte. like our battle during the all-star event. Plus, i was pretty slow out there and thats no fun and ran out of gas just as i rolled into the pit box on the 1st pit stops because of drafting with the leaders.

Just to let you know LP, i WOULD have run out of gas coming out of 4 on the final lap and would have coasted across the line hehe. but i used a full 10 seconds of that cushion i had after the final stops so that helped there.

I thought the lap distance of the events this year were suppposed to be figured to prevent fuel mileage races. Well, we blew it on this one. It would appear that an 80 lap race would have done that just fine.

Most of the fastest peeps on sprints were damaged in the big one, so the world will never know. I ran a 191 after getting hit at lest 6-10 times in the beginning of the race. who knows how fast the car wouldda been had that mess not happened. (See post in cup forum about no more restarts next year)

right, lol! not saying i regret not going sprint now hehe. there IS a limit to my hypocracy. and Bov, my giggest worry was from my TTR buds (and others of course). i saw the replay and went through it in your car. it seemed the nightmare would never end! but at least we have the restart controversy to keep us busy until kansas. and when asked if im going sprint gears there my reply will be, like it was at lowe's, why, yes, im going sprint gears!

HA!

Your set must really hold up on new tires and fuel gears. I didnt think you were running for fuel gears until i read this......lol

I fell off the pace after botching my pit. My car was hooked up but i got slight damage in the big one at the beggining and i figured i would try to get on pit road superfast to make up the time it would take to fix the damage. I hit pit road line at exacly 60 mph and got the black flag. damnit! LOL.

Had it been 59, i woulda given you a run for your money. LOL

Congrats on the win!
