MomoPedals

Post by Stick77 »

I have a momo wheel. My brake pedal is froze at 48% all the time. When i press the accelerator down the brake goes off, let off the gas and it comes back on. In the options/control,i tried setting my gas and brake commands and it tells me to depress accelarator/brake. Any advice would be helpfull ](*,) Thanks ,Eric

YOu gotta take them apart. the potentiometer for the pedals are really small and have a key which is held in a slot to keep them still while the pedals move. Sounds to me like that slipped, may even involve some broken plastic. be really careful, and pay close attention for any small pieces when taking it apart, and get out the crazy glue. Otherwise, if you need a link for momo at a pretty good price, go here... http://www.provantage.com/logitech-9632 ... GTC960.htm.

Hope that helps.

You could try getting a can of contact cleaner from your local radio shack store, and spraying that into the potentiometers. I've done it about 3 times in 2 yrs to my momo pedals, and also got about 4 years out of the thrustmaster wheel/pedals I had before the momo by doing that. I've had the same can of contact cleaner for about at least 5 years. good $3 investment.

Tip for momo wheel/pedal users:

1. Carefully pick up the rig and place it GENTLY in a box. 2. Throw the box as far away from you as possible. 3. Buy a thomas. hehe

P.S. Burning the box prior to throwing will help ease the memories of the momo experience.

Try loosening the screws a little bit, its possible that u over tightened them
Here's a link that describes in detail several different fixes for the black momo wheel: http://web.axelero.hu/mozso/momo_e5.html

I found it extremely helpful for fixing the pedals
