Well, I can tell you that my engine sounds way different thru my $14 headset than it does thru my 5.1 Suround system. So I guess that'd be a yes.

i get the original heat engine sounds through my headset. I never even realized it because i made the change to using a headset to start this season. When my kids took my headset for their pc last weekend, i jumped on for some practice before i realized they were missing. I was quite suprised when i turned on the regular speakers and the engines sounded 10X better, IMO. (Eaglekeeper sent me updated engine sounds a couple of years ago)

it looks like i have a big decision to make now.....go back to good sounds or stick with the headset and vent...hmmmm....i dunno......maybe i will flip a coin next week. lol

all depends on the quality of headphones u have. I have crappy speakers and a high quality set of headphones, I rarely race w/o my headphones on. I too have those other engine sounds, and they sound awesome thru the phones.

Wait until you hear the NHRL Cup Mod engine...... Sounds good on my crappy headset and great on my speakers.
