After reviewing the replay of the Miami race, I thought it necessary to explain the pitting rules once again.
First: If you haven't done so yet, go read the rules at http://www.nascarheatracingleague.com/rules/.
I am goin to explain the procedure for pitting here at Dover.
*You must begin to enter pit road on the back stretch before the entry to turn 3. Be careful with your speed on the flat portion of the track.
*You must stay on the apron through turn 4 and into the entrance of pit road.
*PIT ROAD SPEED IS 35 MPH.
*When traveling down pit road, stay to the far right.
*Do not cut through pit stalls to get to your own. If there are cars "ghosting" in the pits, DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH THEM. They may just seem to appear and damage can occur.
*When exiting, you must stay on the apron until the exit of turn 2. Again, be careful with your speed on the flat portion of the track.
*Merge safely onto the track, staying in the low line until through turns 3 and 4.
I am including a short replay to illustrate what I just explained.
