VENTRILO UNINSTALL

When I try to uninstall old vresion I get an Error 1606. Could not access network location
"::\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop". I recently updated my OS from ME to XP.

Well i heard you should be using version 3.0.2 for ventrilo now. Speaking about o.s's. Vista totally sucks. Stay away from it. Wait for them to figure things out. I wouldn't put my life on line that operating system. I would rather trust a Commadore 64 then that crap.

did you uninstall it from the control panel or just delete the icon

You dont have to install 3.0.2. Thats for servers. You can also use 3.0.1 for clients and that uninstalls the previous version for you.

Problem solved. Many people have had the same problem who upgraded there OS to XP.I went to the fourm on the vent web site to get the fix.

I heard a lot of people saying that their frame rates totally suck with vista. It's gotta be from all the eye candy. I'd turn all eye candy off if u have vista.

I don't know exactly when I will be building or buying my next computer, but I am thinking about getting another copy of xp just in case.

Bover, I would defently purchase another copy of XP. (Any store bought PC/laptop runs on vista now) You would have to order/ build a computer online to purchase it with XP.. Or do what most peeps did years back, wait until they come out with the next version of Windows thats when I bet most peeps will purchase a new computer....
