COT vs NBS Practice and Server Question

Post by efgordon »

What is wrong with joining the server in a nbs car for practice even though others might be in the cot mod?

What happens? My understanding is nothing happens. The world still spins and gravity still keeps us on earth. Am i correct in my thinking? So someone gets a cheat message, big deal, its not really a race, its practice. So the cup cars will be doing 132 sec laps (unless your name is kyle) and the nbs cars will be doing 135's. so what, practicing how to pass cars at different speeds is a good thing. I just dont see why anyone worries about what mod the server is set for, because the track is the same for both mods.

So what i am trying to say here is.......

Show up in the server in whatever you car you feel you need to practice in regardless of what the server is, it wont matter, you can still get a good practice in anyway. We dont need two servers to practice 2 mods unless the mods happen to be racing at different tracks (like last week irp and richmond).

Someone please feel free to explain to me what i am missing. as far as i know, this does not make the server warp or anything, so what is the big deal?

Not a thing. just showup and run whatever mod u feel like. who cares! lol for me it would just be fun to run online in the evening with everyone for once, since I never practice online at night, usually i practice online late afternoons.

Well, the problem is sometimes people will be around and wanting to practice, but they wont join the server because they want to practice one mod, while the server is being used by people using another mod. What i am trying to say is, dont let that be the reason you wont join the server. If you join the server in the mod you feel you need to practice, it will all work out just fine. so you might get a cheat message, so what, its just practice. Thats right, we talkin bout practice. not a game...no, not a game, practice man, we talkin about practice.....

Good point. Some of us cup non-road racers would be a good race for you anyway if you're running 35's anyway. That's right...I'm not too proud. #-o
