Computer management

Post by groverhardt »

I've enjoyed a lot of guys associated with heat in past helping in computer tweaking, and thought I'd throw this out. Though my resources are large enough now to not affect my race program if I don't close everything like the old days, I've found in task manger/performance that something associated with my printer spool uses half of my CPU unless I go into my computer/manage and shut if off. This is a good old printer that I don't want to get rid of, and haven't had this issue on other older systems. There are some manual updates for the printer on window update, but as with a handful of other updates, I've not been able to download and update them onto my computer. From what I've exprienced and heard, it appears it may be some kind of glitch associated with service pack three. Any thoughts or suggestions on overcoming this glitch?

There was a big problem with service pack3 and mcAfee a few weeks back to were it created several glitches, and destroyed several harddrives for unknown reasons. To what I've been told it's been corrected since then. You might wanna go back to service pack 2, see how things go, then reinstall 3.
