Re: heat help
Method #1:
you must browse into the cd's folder in my computer & right click on the heat setup(not the drive, the actual setup on the cd), selecting run as administrator. additional boxes will pop up asking you to confirm running as administrator, then continue with the normal install..
Method #2:
Simpler, more unsafe if you download alot of viruses...
Disable UAC or User Account Control, go into the user accounts settings by clicking on the picture in the startmenu or going to the control pannel & selecting disable UAC & confirming this change...
Hope it helps!

Re: heat help
I ahd the problem on Vista. I just changed a file u didnt need to Hasbro Interactive and made a folder in that called Nascar heat
you can probably just make new folders. Dunno y but on vista it doenst create it... Try making it yerself then installing. Dunno why but it worked.
example: I had Roller Coaster tycoon in hasbro interactive and i deleted everything in it and renamed it word for word "NASCAR Heat" then i installed heat and it worked fine... Then i installed essentials and somehow i got all the original tracks. Note: This is my laptop aka back up cpu.

Re: heat help
Sigh. Something that actually worked for me..
Whenever I tried to install it it would say location doesnt exist so i manually made it not using the disk then installed it. Duster just because i post something and its a bandaid fix that will work but is not installed by the game doesnt mean its wrong. Jesse try that and if it doesnt work then u can call me an idiot.
or buy a flash drive and copy yer hasbro interactice folder onto it then copy paste it onto the other cpu. Then place a shortcut to the folder and run the application in it. For somereson wen i placed a shortcut in desktop it said slash screen not found but when i opened the folder and ran the application from there it worked.
EDIT: if it doesnt work then it doesnt work

Re: heat help
yo about yer problem. Read my post it actually does work. Both methods worked fine for me. The one where u make the folders works better. Because what happens is u make the folders then it places everything u need into it.
sound about right look at the misspellings ... and you know you pmed me so dont try to turn your, sorry yer, shit around
