Interesting number of drivers with pitting violations.

Interesting, but I am wondering how I got a penalty for dangerous driving on lap 1. I do not recall getting into anyone or swerving, stuff like that. No biggie, but I would like an explanation so I don't repeat bad driving behaviour.

Im guessing from the replay, it was form making it three wide before turn one and then punting the car into the wall. But im not an admin so who knows

Admins, so your saying you could be the only car leaving the pits on the backstretch, up to speed, looking to make sure your clear, and you still can't move up in the racing groove? :? Just wandering.

Stick basically described your penalty, JRich. We didn't see any reason to force things 3 seconds after the race started. On top of that, you then hit another truck hard enough to send him flying into others and caused quite a pileup in turn 1. When unnecessary, overly aggressive driving causes crashes penalties are often involved.

Davis...didn't I answer this same question from you before the race? :?

We encourage everyone who is uncertain about the rules to post questions on the forum or ask them in the server before the race starts.

WooHoo I was correct!! Stick 09 for league Admin 8) , running mate yet to be determined. I will veto every pork rine and funyon that comes accross my desk. Thank you and god bless. This was paid for and endorsed by the Stick in 09 Admin race.

Returning to the racing surface BEFORE the end of turn 2 is also a penalizable offense. And is an "illegal pit road exit". When exiting the pits, a car must stay on the apron till the backstretch begins, not before. Some drivers try to gain time here and I consider it poor sportsmanship. This includes the start of the pitting procedure, entering the apron in turn 3 after the turn starts is another example of poor sportsmanship.

Ok Stick & lepage. I did not realize that I got into anybody OR went 3 wide. Must have been the way the net worked at that time...LOL Will be more careful in future races.

Jcrich, you can submit your replay to the admins for further review. Iam not an admin and just voiced what i seen. One race i smoked Reef entering the pits and sent him flying into the wall. On my replay i was 2 cars behind him. So for all you newbies "it is a good idea to save your replay just in case you need to challenge a penalty".Ultimatley The NHRL administration has the final rule, i just guessed correctly. So if you have doubt email the powers that be.

Yes, Stick is right again (building campaign momentum). We can only rule on what we see on our replays. Once in awhile, warp causes a crash rather than an actual hit on someone's screen. For example, we reversed Petty43's penalty on lap 88 at New Hampshire because our replay shows him hitting a truck hard into the wall. On his replay, it shows he was lucky and just missed the driver despite over-shooting the turn.
