Game Crash

Post by retroracer »

I hooked a new guy up on Heat this weekend and am having some multi-player issues. It's been so long since I installed a game from scratch I can't figure out what the problem may be.Everytime he finds my IP and hits connect he crashes or anytime he tries to set up as host it crashes. Two things I think I may have done wrong, one,I went straight from the original game to the 1.8 patch and two I dont know how to shut down his Nortons if that may be the issues. What do you guys think. The only mod I installed was the CTS Mod.

You need the 1.1 patch first, then the 1.80.

Not sure if Norton will be an issue or not.

OK,never had this prob before,I re-installed the patches with no success. When the game crashes and I read the log the panic message is "multiplayer was not suspended", then a whole line of call-stacks.Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Thank God,I figured it out, thanks for your help Skoty. He had the game installed quite awhile back and removed it.There were some old files left in his computer causing a crash.
