Nah the least amount of bonus points is better in my opinion. Pole already give you a greater chance at 5 anyway. It's kind of one of those thats good and bad for ya all at the sametime. Good for you if you can get the points bad for ya if you lose those points lol.

I've always believed, over the long term of a season, that a pole bonus accumulates even more points among the drivers who are leading in their respective series. It's not like the Headache and Die Hard awards where a more even distribution takes place over 20 events.

I agree that it's a nice bonus to someone who has worked hard on a qualifying setup, but this is my story and I'm not wavering from it.

Yup, give some points up. All that time running setups after setups should get rewarded. Im sure alot of guys have spent hours trying to get that next tenth.

the pole winning driver is rewarded anyways, the first pitstall is the easiest to find, just as in real cup racing, the first stall is bonus enough. as another member stated, the pole winning driver has the best shot at getting lap leading bonus points as well. i like the idea of keeping things as similar to actual nascar racing as possible.

I agree with GSXR. Starting on the Pole is bonus enough. Just like in real NASCAR pit selection (even though we don't actually "pick" our pit stall, it's the same idea) and getting those bonus points for leading laps is enough.

because if i had the pole, i would be standing on it, and it wouldnt matter how much you stood on it... lol.. if you have the pole, theres no reason to be cautious like when you are starting behind people
