Sound card driver?
I was given a Sound blaster Audigy advance hd card.Only problem is that the driver for this Sound card comes on the original Cd that came with it ,and I dont have it.Furthemore, the upgrade drivers for this card must have the original cd driver or they wont work. Does anyone have the CD that came with this card? or an alternate idea to get driver for it? The serial number is ..SB0090.
Thx in advance!

Re: Sound card driver?
I've never heard of that, especially with sound blasters. You should be able to find a compatible driver in windows to get it at least running, then go to manufacture's site and download latest driver.

Re: Sound card driver?
also, that's the model number and not the serial number.
The soundblaster auto update utility on their web site probably doesn't work without the manufacturers CD installed, but since you know the model number of the card, you should be able to manually download the driver.
Doing a search by model number on creative's web site brought me here.
There's where you should be able to download the driver. It looks like the newest one works for XP, Vista and Windows 7. There's another XP/Vista driver from 07 below it. It's dated 9 july 07, and that's one I'd download. It looks like it also has all the applications that originally came with the card too.
Hope that helps.

Re: Sound card driver?
Sorry, I forgot you were still running ME.
I'm not sure what your $$$ situation is, but computers are running dirt cheap right now, and you could get a Decent machine from Best buy for$350 that would run circles around that ME piece 5 times over.

Well seeing as Vista is out and "7" is coming out in October, that's going to put you 4 OS's behind... lol
