Autdriving On Pitroad
Should we run autodrive on pit road? (This would eliminate all of those pitting violations everyone always gets!)

No we shouldn't. It isn't hard to remember what to do. Stay to the outside, don't go thru stalls, stay to the outside again. The guys on TV win and loose races due to pit road. Should be the same here.

No, Auto pit causes cars to whack into the back of the other cars on pit entrance.
Re: Autdriving On Pitroad
Like Bover said, races are won and lost in the pits, in the absence of yellow flag caution periods, manual pitting is as close as we are going to get to the real race. No need to further automate our races.
Re: Autdriving On Pitroad
very good point bover and Reef i like it the way it is . more challenging and more real to racing . the ide is to have it close as it can be to real racing am i right or wrong ?

We used to do this, long ago. It's definitely not an option. The autodrive causes a lot of damage.

I agree with the others till they make a game to were we have caution laps and restarts this is as close as we'er going to get to the real thing ,and besides it really isn't that hard to do as long as you fallow the rules and pay attention to what you are doing.........just my opinion

That depends, do you want to have fun playing a game, or get serious racing a simulation. Heat can be both. So why have everything simulation, then let people race in outcar view? Why not lock it to incar. It's closer to real life. More simulation. Personally I think having no flag rules so no black flags is closer, everyone is going flat tack into pitlane. Not a range of speeds trying to get the car under the speed limit before the line. Do you want closer racing for fun, or do you want a simulation.BlackKnight wrote:I agree with the others till they make a game to were we have caution laps and restarts this is as close as we'er going to get to the real thing ,and besides it really isn't that hard to do as long as you fallow the rules and pay attention to what you are doing.........just my opinion

Well, think of it this way.....Harding wrote:Personally I think having no flag rules so no black flags is closer, everyone is going flat tack into pitlane. The Real World Nascar drivers do the exact same thing as we do at the line. They drive up to the line as fast as they can, and then be under the pit road speed when the cross the line. Sometimes drivers even spin themselves out trying to back it down. I watched Waltrip do it twice right in front of me at Pocono this year.

How about in car navigation, that way we would all know where we are on the track at all times...lmao

Manual pits is the only way some people can beat me, and I'm okay with that.
