Need Help With Vent
Need Help With Vent
I am having trouble using ventrilo in game. I have a hot key set up already and have changed the compatibility mode to yes. I can hear people talking, but when I press hotkey no one can hear me. Any help would be appreciated. Is there anything else I need to do in setup to get this working?

Be sure to have the input and output devices set to your headset. You can find that at the setup page, top right hand corner.
Also if you headset has a mute button, be sure its off.

Ok, I did that now should the Use Direct Sound boxex be checked for both input and output devices?

Re: Need Help With Vent
If you are using Vista or 7 and you are running NASCAR Heat as an administrator or in one of the Compatibility modes, Ventrilo must be run the same way.
ex.
I run Heat on Windows 7 - As Administrator - Windows XP Compatibility Mode
Therefore you should run Ventrilo the same was in order to allow the keyboard (hotkey) to communicate with the other program.
This will apply in most situations.
