2014 Truck Starting Time

Similar to our Nationwide poll earlier this year, we would like to know if an earlier Saturday starting time for Trucks would enable more drivers to make more races throughout the season. Please let us know whether an earlier starting time would be preferable and feel free to share comments.

Earlier, we saw a decent amount of support for shifting the Nationwide time.

I think 10:30 would be best since some of us race in ARL that starts at 9 pm

Actually a 9 PM starting time always benefits me as it would be 5 AM here, and with a 7 AM show time at work...just saying.

I'm curious, would folks be opposed to a "flex" starting time?

In other words, the official NHRL starting time may be something like 10 PM ET, but we'd adjust the actual starting time on a nightly basis - dependent on the finishing time of Duster's league race. Under such a plan, I would think most of our races would start no later than 10:20 or so. Thus, we wouldn't be starting at the latest possible hour, but we'd also be leaving enough time in between the two leagues.

I do understand the ARL situation, I've competed in Duster's leagues, often before NHRL events.

Not a bad idea. As long as I'm not too tired or planning early Sunday morning excursions I'd be up for racing if it starts between 10-10:30pm.
