Just to let everyone know I am skeeered to run this race this year. hahahahaha

No on a serious note, I have something else planned that night for the family and don't think I will be home intime.

Good Luck All. Really wish I didn't have to miss this event, some things are just out of our own control.

So the trick I used to get heat to work with windows 10 tech preview, to full version windows 10 didn't work into getting the game to run. If anyone has gotten this thing to run stable on windows 10 let me know.

I upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 and Heat works without issue. The only change that I've had to make is running the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP. Also, if you didn't already, make sure you run the game as administrator. FYI, this includes Mod Launcher.

I've been running Heat on Windows 10 since the first public preview without issue, just the normal permissions stuff that goes back to Vista.

What exactly isn't working?

It was the permissions BS that didn't allow the game to run. Now the next issue possibly an issue with one of my gpus. The game likes to crash when I raise the resolution past 1080p. I would like to get it higher because I have a 1440p monitor, but that's probably not possible.

Whats your GPU?

I have two of the Ares III cards. So its two 290x's on one card. Its been a lot of trouble on games that do not support crossfire.
