The NASCAR Heat Racing League has released the details for its fourth Signature Event, The Fall Festival.
The event will transpire on Saturday, December 7 at 9:00 PM ET and consist of ten rapid-fire, shootout-style races in the Pro Stock Car Heat mod. Altogether, the event will feature around 200 laps on some of the newest, smallest, and most popular short tracks from The Mod Squad and elsewhere. The event will also include some unique rules, such as a single fixed setup and starting grid reversals. Participants are required to connect to our Ventrilo server for the event.
Please feel free to ask questions about the event. We'll also be posting some final details as we get closer to the date.
NHRL Signature Events are an ongoing, season-less series of special exhibition races conducted at alternative courses in non-league-series mods. In some cases, the rules, formats, or other particularities may also differ significantly from standard league activities. The possibilities for NHRL Signature Events are truly limitless, so we invite members of the general community to join the discussion on our forum and take an active role in shaping their ever-evolving schedule.

Re: The Fall Festival
Now THIS is a doorslammer series that I think I will enjoy. Do we need to sign up anywhere or just show up?

Re: The Fall Festival
You don't need to sign up; just show up and race. We hope to see you and everyone else there!
And better yet, just like the IROC Challenge, there's minimal work required, as everyone will be using the same fixed setup. We'll post it soon.

I'll learn how to work a calendar one day. For some reason I thought this was Friday, but that's Speedy's races.

I'm trying to login to the main site but it says my username doesn't exist. Do I have to ask for it to be created?

Re: The Fall Festival
We've created the fixed setup for the Fall Festival: http://nascarheatracingleague.com/downl ... 20race.gar. We'll be using it all all ten tracks.
Similar to what we did with IROC, where each fixed setup had both a sprint gear and a fuel gear, 3rd gear runs higher RPMs than 4th gear. However, in the case of the Fall Festival, we're staggering the gears to accommodate places ranging in size from 0.375 to 0.750 miles.
The server will be up tonight so feel free to do some practice runs after the TMS special events.

Re: The Fall Festival
The Fall Festival is happening tonight! If anyone wants to do some practice runs, then I'll be lurking on the server and Ventrilo an hour or so early.
However, we can set one up anytime, just send me a PM with your email address.
The driver accounts on the main site are separate from the forum accounts here. We create those manually for everyone who requests one. You won't need a driver account until you need to upload a paint scheme when our series resume in January.
