Yea I tried using that, was speed shifting into second gear and my hand slid of the stick, busted my windshield, cut the shit outta my hand and got a face full of glass. Not to mention half the time the thing stayed hung up between first and second gear, have to get out go under the hood and unbind those 10 feet of linkages, truelly not designed for racing.Stick77 wrote:Im using Three on the Tree, some old timers remember that im sure.

Only a douchebag would use an automatic. Thought I'd bring it back around to the word: douchebag.
Funny word: douchebag.

Re: Auto or Manual?
I like to use Manual so I can get into higer rpms before shifting, but sometime's auto is nice on a road course when you get tierd of shifting  but it's what ever works for the person, I use manual 95% of the time

Re: Auto or Manual?
I use automatic shifting all the time, every race in fact, and never once have I NOT been able to compete against guys that shift manually. The only difference is I have to work harder on my gearing to compensate at times. Sometimes you do lose valuable time in the pits to the manual drivers, but you just have to make it up on the track instead. By saying that automatic shifting is for douchebags and girls, some people are better off biting their tongues and shutting up cuz I'll compete against anyone anytime at any track and still manage to kick some ass doing it!!! I can still make a car go just as fast shifting automatically as anyone else can shifting manually.

Don't take things so personally. D3 just likes saying the word douchebag. If it makes him giggle, who are we to rain on his parade. It is a funny word. Douchebag!

You need to put the entire link to the pic in between the brackets. Mouse over the "img" above for the example

Re: Auto or Manual?
Thanks Grove, yes, that's really all I was doing was getting back to the funny stuff one night. As long as you brought it up though...to "compete" may mean just getting into the fray but to be "competitive" means you have something for the rest of the field. Which, of course, you do not. (not makin alot of friends around here am i?) I dont care if you use a broomhandle attached to a dildo to shift with, or an automatic, I welcome any competition.
