My last comment on this matter. At the time of the incident all i saw was the 25 car smacking into my right side. Plus you were the one who called out "RS" during the race so i presumed that you were at fault. Which is a rules violation according to I-D 2 by the way. Then after bringing the incident up after the race Mustang said somebody got into the back of you not saying that he was the one at fault. If he would of responded when i was asking these posts would not be getting posted. So you should be asking him why he did not say "Hey that was my bad". Mustang has not apologized for that incident. Which banged up a few cars. Sure everybody makes mistakes but you have to own up to them. Mustang tooted his own horn on well he did that night. That is great, good job. Not apologizing to the drivers that got damage or anyone involved in the incident is not good sportsmanship. That's all i got say. I've moved on and will not make anymore comments on the matter.

It is my understanding that if more then 1/4 of the grid (maybe it was 1/2) crashed then there would be a restart. Was that rule scrapped?

Generally, I urge everyone to think before saying anything after the race. I regularly take notes and large penalties have been assessed in the past and likely will be again. It's always wise to consult the replay before saying something you hope is true.

That was never a rule. At least not since 2006 or so.

I-D 2. The NASCAR Heat Racing League does not restart events for accidents. League members who crash and demand a restart can expect penalties. However, drivers may request restarts for clear problems with the starting grid: alignment, pace speed, and damage issues are all legitimate restart requests. Please inform us about problems immediately; do not wait until the race is underway.
