2006 NBS Series Potential Changes

<FONT FACE="Verdana,Arial" SIZE=2>We are trying to evaluate the interest in changes in the NBS Series to make it a little more different than the CUP Series.

A new NBS Series car is something we have considered, and have tested a few physics versions for one. There also seems to be some interest in these Nextel Heat mods out there. We will only consider changing anything if there is interest of course.

Heck with the ID sets! that's what we have the iroc series for lol. hitting or missing the setup is a major part of the realism of racing, IMO.

I voted for the NHRL busch series mod.

i agree with bover whatever happens don't run identical sets they have iroc, legends, and normal mode if you want someone
all over you the whole race, and to easy to get wrecked

I agree with bover & Kyle don't run identical sets, it's part of the challenge to racing. Tweaking and testng setups... It's part of racing plain and simple!!!!!

Well it's all about driver skill if it was ID, the racing would be much better and the time needed to practice would go down. IROC is only 4 races and the setups weren't too good

we have this conversation every year about id setups.
they stink! it's not skill. and everyone has a different driving style. the only thing i didn't like about IROC was the id setups. have you ever driven one of AlaRedBone's setups??? they are very very loose. it takes skill to drive a loose setup fast.... especially on a long run.
go ahead and start up a ID setup league..... it won't last. HicrySmoke did this a few years back..... when heat was still hugely popular.... and it went down the tubes.

i like the busch series the way it is this year. the only complaints that i could possibly think of is the 5 point bonus for the hard charger and i think it would be cool to see the "chase" in busch.
maybe even move Busch to saturday nights and Cup to sunday nights.

OK, guys seriously, just to clear things up, id sets.....NOT gonna happen. Though the IROC's will more than likely be id sets. Why you ask? Because that's the way the real IROC Series is run. Chase in Busch Series....doubtful, same reason. Switching Cup to Sundays and Busch to Saturdays.....not gonna happen.

While we do appreciate all the input you guys give us, please stick to the topic at hand. If and when we do consider making other changes we will make polls as needed.

reason I want the busch mod, is so that is not an almost identical race to the cup race on companion race weekends.

Edit: On TV the drivers always talk about how they can take very little, if anything to the cup car, and that's how it should be here, IMO. Not just using the same setup.
