IRP is a 0.686-mile short track with 4 corners and a 45 MPH speed limit on pit road. The league competed at IRP for the first time during the 2004 season. Since its league debut, the track has hosted 5 races in 2 series. As a member of the short track group, IRP features races with tight confines, close competition, and non-stop excitement. However, the track also demands a high level of track awareness, etiquette, and patience from competitors at all times. When drivers start forgetting simple courtesies, an otherwise peaceful race can turn into a night of chaos in quick order. Thus, it is this ever-uncertain balance that that makes IRP one of the most interesting tracks on the league circuit. |
